A Casinha

A Casinha is a fully-renovated farmhouse, a low-lying white-washed structure with tiled roof typical of the Algarve in its look and feel. The large terracotta terrace in front of the house overlooks the private swimming pool and a sweeping and unobstructed view of the ocean beyond.

Sleeping 6-7 people, A Casinha is nestled in landscaped gardens built up over the years, with meandering paths and walkways lined with oleanders, jasmine and rhododendrons. An orchard of lemon trees lies below.

All of the rooms of A Casinha face south. The interior is tastefully furnished with antiques, comfortable seating and touches of local color.

The house features two floors:

• The ground floor comprises a spacious living-dining area with a wood-burning fireplace and a large, separate but adjoining kitchen with all modern conveniences, plus pantry and table for informal meals. Both have open access to the terrace so you can dine outdoors facing the magnificent panorama of the countryside and the sea beyond.
• A hallway off the living room leads to two roomy double bedrooms with views of the ocean and lots of closet space.
• At the end of the hallway, there is a fully-equipped bath/shower room.
• The upper floor of the house includes an independent master suite with a double bedroom and separate living room and kitchenette. There is a large bathroom off the bedroom and a terrace in front facing the southern coast.
• The upper level is accessible both from the living room on the ground floor and from the terrace in front of the house via an outdoor stairway.

The carefully-maintained 9 x 5 meter (16 x 30 ft) swimming pool is located a few steps down from the main terrace and is perfectly integrated into the environment. It has child-proof protective barriers, and offers a superb view of the sea as you swim or simply lounge on the sundeck.

The driveway is paved with a large parking area and easy access to house.
